Project Overview

When Food Service Logistics launched their new 140,000 sq. ft. fulfilment centre to service their globally renown barista group, they needed a comprehensive, integrated security solution to protect their client’s high-value products, manage complex site operations, and meet strict compliance requirements.

The project required delivering a future-ready security ecosystem that could handle the scale of a fast-moving logistics environment, while working closely with the principal fit-out contractor to meet tight programme deadlines.

Anchor were given the below range of objectives to fulfil this:

  • Secure perimeter and internal areas against theft and unauthorised access.
  • Provide real-time monitoring across the facility.
  • Integrate access and vehicle control for a seamless operational flow.
  • Enhance fire safety through proactive thermal monitoring above forklift charging areas.
  • Ensure the system could scale with future operational growth.

The Anchor Solution

Anchor worked alongside the fit-out contractor to design and implement a multi-layered. integrated security system covering all aspects of site access, monitoring and risk management. The key components included:

  1. Access Control System – This included role-based access for staff, contractors, and visitors along with integrated with speedgates and barriers for maximum control.
  2. Video Intercom System to provide secure entry for visitors and contractors with visual verification.
  3. Automated Barriers & Speedgates to create a streamlined vehicle and pedestrian entry/exit and to prevent tailgating and unauthorised access.
  4. CCTV Network – We provided full HD coverage across internal warehouse and external perimeters along with centralised monitoring with remote access.
  5. ANPR Cameras Integrated with Access Control – This automated vehicle recognition linked to site access. Therefore reducing manual checks and improved operational efficiency.
  6. Thermal Cameras in Forklift Charging Area – In view of early detection of overheating or fire risks and providing increased safety in multi-temperature environments.
